Today is one of those days when I really want something genuinely simple, quick to make and close to those Lithuanian taste buds. On top of that, I am always glad when a spell in the kitchen doesn't leave me with a mountain of washing-up and I can use that time for something more worthwhile. ๐ How did the idea for chicken patties with prunes and apricots come about? Wellโฆ I have a husband who adores chicken roulades stuffed with these fruits, so I thought a roulade could easily be turned into a patty โ and it worked beautifully! Bonus โ afterwards there were only 3 dishes to wash! What joy!๐
There is really no point in me rambling on about these patties โ they are genuinely fantastic. Nothing to add, nothing to take away. And the sauceโฆ Mmmโฆ One of my favourite sauces for chicken dishes โ its gentle sweetness goes perfectly with the prunes and apricots in the patties and complements any chicken dish beautifully!
