Kinder Bueno Cream with Mascarpone 🍫🧁

Fluffy. Light. Not too sweet.

Sometimes you really want to bake cupcakes or a little cake, but everything grinds to a halt over the choice of frosting. 🙈 This one is too heavy… That one is too light… That one you're tired of, and the other is too sweet… How do you find the happy medium? Well, I think this very quick and simple Kinder Bueno cream with mascarpone is exactly what you need!

Kinder Bueno Cream with Mascarpone

Nothing fancy and nothing complicated – the whipped mascarpone and cream frosting every baker knows inside out, with a few additions – Kinder Bueno, cocoa and Nutella. Mascarpone + cream – fluffiness and lightness. Nutella and Kinder Bueno – the components that bring the sweetness and let you avoid adding any extra sugar. That is precisely why the cream doesn't come out too sweet. And for those who like things sweeter, you can always add another spoonful of Nutella or more Kinder Bueno.

When whipping the mascarpone and cream it is very important not to overwhip, or the cream turns grainy and heavy. For layered desserts you want to leave the cream fairly loose, whereas for filling cakes or piping onto cupcakes, whip it a little further. When folding in the flavourings it is equally important not to overdo it, or the cream will collapse and turn heavy.

If you want a really intense Kinder Bueno flavour, I recommend adding Nutkao (photohere). Nutkao tastes almost identical to the Kinder Bueno filling, so you get an unbelievably good flavour!
